How to Find Laughing Water Ranch?
The Country
Mountains, mountains everywhere. Mountains that crown the continent and divide the oceans. Mountains that provide wild sanctuary for grizzly and elk, bald eagles and bighorn sheep. Laughing Water Ranch is located in the Kootenai National Forest in Montana's northern Rockies at an elevation of 3,200'. The peaks of the Whitefish Range tower to elevations of 7,500' above the ranch. The area remains as pristine and beautiful since the days of the Kootenai and Salish Indian tribes who coined the name Laughing Water Creek. LW Ranch is located just 50 miles north of Kalispell, 20 miles west of Glacier Park and 20 miles south of the Canadian Border.
Getting Here
Laughing Water Ranch is located 3 miles east of Fortine on Deep Creek Road off U.S. Highway 93. Glacier International Airport in Kalispell is served by Delta, Northwest, Horizon and Alaska Airlines. Laughing Water can provide transportation for guests to and from Glacier International Airport in Kalispell and Amtrak depot in Whitefish for $50-$100/person each way, group rates available. We recommend a car rental upon your arrival if you plan to see some of the awesome off-ranch sights in conjunction with your Montana vacation!

Nearest Airport
Glacier International Airport is 50 miles from the ranch, about a 1 hour 20 minute drive. Missoula Airport is 175 miles, or a 3 1/2 hour drive. OTHER TRANSPORTATION: Amtrak (1-800-USA-RAIL) stops in Whitefish, which is just 40 miles (45 minutes) from the ranch. When looking for airline travel bargains, don't forget to check flights to Missoula (3 1/2 hr drive), Spokane (4 1/2 hr drive) and Great Falls (4 1/2 hr drive).
